Darryl Everitt and Heather Brown have both worked as professional photographers since 1990. Prior to that it was the long and laborious years of student life, and working our way through Photographic City and Guilds, to Higher National Certificates. We first started covering weddings in 1993. I had been photographing mainly in London for the new types of magazines that had come on to the market whilst Heather specialised in Children's photography and styling. We were at a friends' wedding, and witnessed yet again, an absolute monster of a man, barking out orders to the couple, their friends and family, and basically just going through the motions of doing one awful pose after another for what seemed like an eternity. It’s still probably the most common thing we hear to this day: "Our photographer took ages and was not very nice, we felt we were putting him out ... the pictures were really disappointing." We had felt for quite sometime, that the style of photography that was being offered to couples was desperately in need of changing away from the old fashioned traditional approach, to a style that the couples actually really wanted for themselves and represented the type of people that they really were. We believe that every couple should have a wedding naturally captured with a minimum of fuss and in a friendly way, with lots and lots of pictures to later choose of themselves, their friends, and family having a great day. |
